Plexus is looking for a detail-oriented, strategic-thinking Costing Engineer I to provide the accurate, timely manufacturing pricing information that keeps us a step ahead in the industry. What You'll Do: Drive Strategy and Value In this vital role, you won't just run numbers—you'll be the architect of our pricing strategy, ensuring we offer the best value to our customers while maintaining profitability across our global operations. Your core responsibilities will include: Analyze and Estimate: Dive deep into customer technical data to prepare detailed, accurate manufacturing cost estimates for all quote activities. Validate and Collaborate: Partner with our global manufacturing sites, meeting with site management and engineering staff to validate estimates, ensure consistency, and gain consensus on true manufacturing costs. Determine Optimum Solutions: Identify and drive the lowest total manufacturing cost solutions for new business, translating into highly competitive pricing for our end customers. Ensure "One Plexus" Consistency: Maintain cost sensibleness and uniformity across different manufacturing sites, presenting a unified, powerful solution to our global customer base. Who We're Looking For: Your Qualifications Education: A Bachelor's degree is required, with a technical engineering or business degree being highly preferred. Experience: 1-3 years of related professional experience is necessary. Skills: Technical Acumen: Ability to understand technical drawings and documents. Problem Solver: Possess outstanding decision-making and problem-solving skills. Self-Motivated: Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, following through on assignments with minimal supervision. Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
