Corporate Improvement and Risk Officer Job Type: Initial 6-month contractOrganisation: Rotherham CouncilPay Rate: £24.46 per hour Working Arrangement: Hybrid, 3-days per week in-office Rotherham Council are seeking a Corporate Improvement and Risk Officer to join our Policy, Performance & Intelligence service within the Assistant Chief Executive's directorate. This role is crucial in supporting the council through policy development, strategy implementation, and ensuring the effectiveness of governance processes. Day-to-day of the role: Work across directorates to provide expert advice and support, ensuring good governance within the council.Manage corporate risk and perform performance reporting against the council plan's key priorities.Engage in planning, evaluation, and quality assurance of corporate processes and service improvement models.Collaborate with local and national partners to develop and implement innovative policy and delivery models.Oversee business-critical processes including corporate risk, equalities, and council plan monitoring.Promote community cohesion and develop strategies to ensure access for all. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a performance management, intelligence, and improvement role within a public-focused service environment, preferably in a supervisory capacity.Strong background in undertaking a project-based approach in the evaluation and redesign of service processes and pathways.Skilled in the development, analysis, and interpretation of complex quantitative and qualitative evidence.Ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to a wide range of audiences.
