About
Corporate Communications Manager (Fixed Term Contract) Flutter is the world’s leading online sports betting and iGaming company, with a market leading position in the US and across the world. Flutter operates a diverse portfolio of leading brands and is organized into two divisions: FanDuel for our business in North America; and Flutter International for our businesses across the rest of the world. Role & responsibilities The Group Corporate Communications Manager is part of a lean, fast-paced and ambitious team, working closely with the Group Head of Corporate Brand Marketing, reporting to the Group Head of Corporate Communications and overseen by the Group Director of Corporate Communications. The successful candidate will have global remit and will be delivering the overall Group communication strategy across financial, corporate, web, social and proactive campaigns activity. The role will focus on key workstreams below, but the dynamic and fast-paced nature of Flutter’s business means there are always new, exciting projects to work on. Broadly speaking, the Corporate Communications Manager will be involved in several key workstreams, including: Content Strategy & Editorial Leadership Lead pipeline planning and manage the editorial process for Flutter’s In Play News Hub – including content ideation, sourcing and conducting interviews, coordinating collaborator reviews, securing visuals and multimedia assets, managing copywriters, and overseeing the article web build process. Actively contribute to content creation by writing and editing articles for the In Play News Hub, one of Flutter’s key communications priorities. Support the Head of Group Corporate Brand Marketing and Digital in delivering Flutter’s Digital Strategy by co-managing the Group website and developing content and thought leadership for corporate social media channels. Take responsibility for publishing press releases on Flutter.com, including occasional out-of-hours support. Corporate Communications & Media Relations Prepare media positioning and materials for key corporate developments and financial calendar events – including quarterly earnings – working closely with Creative Studio, Investor Relations, CoSec, and Legal teams. Support day-to-day media relations by handling media enquiries and drafting materials such as press releases, reactive statements, and Q&As. Provide crisis communications support to both internal and external partners as needed. Lead measurement of media relations activity and partner with the Digital team to deliver integrated communications reporting. Manage relationships with external agencies on day-to-day communications and special projects. Stakeholder Partnership & Communications Planning Act as the dedicated communications partner for teams such as Sustainability, advising on external communications, events, and overall communications goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and divisions to guide and advise on both reactive and proactive communications activities. Contribute creative ideas and develop communications plans to support internal stakeholders in achieving their objectives. What we're looking for This role requires broad corporate and financial communications experience, ideally gained in both agency and in-house settings. While direct knowledge of regulated sectors or betting and gaming is not essential, strong editorial experience, content expertise, digital communications fluency, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by listed and consumer-facing businesses in fast-paced sectors are crucial for success. An interest in sports – while not a prerequisite – is also helpful given the nature of our business. Proven content production and editorial skills, with strong fluency in digital communications. An ability to operate and deliver in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, often handling complex and challenging issues with competing deadlines. Proven ability to independently lead and drive projects from initial development through to successful implementation, collaborating with a broad range of partners whilst using support from the wider Corporate Communications team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to a diverse range of audiences. Strong collaborator management capabilities, including experience engaging and influencing senior leadership. Solid understanding of the global corporate and financial media landscape, with confident media handling skills and an ability to build strong journalist relationships. Flexibility out-of-hours support on media announcements and crisis communications. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Good understanding of the strategic use of social media platforms. Location The role will be primarily based in Flutter’s London office in Blackfriars, with occasional opportunities to travel to nearby offices such as Dublin and Leeds.
