  • Are you an experienced paralegal with a passion for conveyancing and residential property transactions? Our client, a respected legal practice known for their innovative approach and client-focused standards, is seeking a proactive Conveyancing Paralegal to join their thriving property team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a busy caseload, develop your legal skills, and play a key role in delivering a seamless residential conveyancing process for clients.
  • This is a hybrid, permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday.
  • Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 dependent on experience.
  • Key Duties in Residential Conveyancing Paralegal Work
  • Assist solicitors and conveyancers in handling a broad range of residential property transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new builds, and shared ownership matters.
  • Prepare and draft legal documentation such as contract packs, transfer deeds, and completion statements under supervision.
  • Order property searches, conduct Due Diligence checks, assist with title reviews, and respond to basic client and third-party enquiries.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other legal professionals to ensure all parties remain informed and engaged throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Support fee earners with post-completion activities, including submission of SDLT returns, Land Registry applications, and document management.
  • Adhere to firm protocols, SRA, and CQS regulatory requirements, as well as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures, to ensure compliance and high-quality client care.
  • Contribute positively to the team culture by sharing knowledge, participating in training, and supporting colleagues as needed.
  • Essential Skills and Experience for a Conveyancing Paralegal
  • Prior experience as a conveyancing paralegal or legal assistant in residential property law is required.
  • Solid understanding of the conveyancing process and standard documentation for residential transactions, including leasehold and freehold matters.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities efficiently in a busy legal environment.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to explain conveyancing matters to clients and stakeholders in a clear, professional manner.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Competency with case management software and Microsoft Office applications is essential.
