Controls Service EngineerSalary: £55,000 + benefits + car allowance/vanLocation: Nationwide – Telford / Nottingham / South / North (fully flexible due to site coverage)Working Pattern: Monday–Friday + on-call rota (remote)Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00On-Call Rota (remote): With site attendance only when necessary Nights: 18:00–06:00Days: 06:00–18:00 I’m supporting a long-established UK control systems integrator who are looking to grow their service team with an experienced Controls Service Engineer.This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of remote diagnostics and hands-on site work, with a strong focus on keeping customers’ automation systems running smoothly.You do not need to be based near Nottingham – we’re open to engineers based in the Midlands, the South, or the North of England, as long as you’re happy to travel when needed.When on-call, you’ll work from home unless an issue can’t be resolved remotely, which is reflected in the salary package.The Role Provide both remote and on-site support for PLC, HMI, and automation system faultsWork mainly with Siemens (TIA Portal, S7) and SEW equipmentCarry out corrective maintenance, service visits, and planned PPMProduce detailed service reports and recommendationsSupport the handover of new projects from engineering into serviceMaintain tools, equipment, and software in line with company proceduresEnsure all work meets industry and company safety standards What You’ll Need Strong experience with Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal, S7, HMIs)Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems and fault-finding
