Freelance Contracts Manager - 6-Month Contract Location: BerkshireRate: £360-£400 per day ( Outside IR35 ) Project Values: £2million - £5 MillionSector: New Build & Refurbishment About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced Freelance Contracts Manager to take responsibility for a range of new build and refurbishment projects across Berkshire. The schemes range from £2m to £5m, and you'll play a key role in ensuring they run smoothly, safely, and to programme.You'll be joining a busy contractor with a strong pipeline of work, so this role suits someone confident managing multiple live projects and comfortable taking ownership from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Oversee several projects across Berkshire, covering both new build and refurbishment work.Lead site teams and maintain high standards of health and safety.Manage programmes, subcontractors and site resources.Keep firm control of project budgets and maintain commercial awareness.Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, the supply chain and professional teams.Chair progress meetings and provide clear updates on project status.Ensure quality expectations are met on every scheme.Resolve issues quickly to keep projects moving. Requirements Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry.Solid background working on both new build and refurbishment projects.Experience running projects in the £2m-£5m range.Comfortable managing multiple schemes at the same time.Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.Commercially aware with the ability to work independently.Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Berkshire.
