Pay rate: £16.95 per hour PAYE
Contract Type: Temporary, Anticipated 6 months
Working Arrangement: This role is a hybrid role with the team meeting in Wareham and Weymouth, so being located in or close to Dorset will be important.
Successful candidates - will be drivers and have access to a vehicle for work purposes to ensure they can meet with the team.

In order to apply for this role you will have previous experience providing contract support to a local authority Property Services/Safety or Asset Management team, with an understanding of contracts including awareness of KPIs and cost models e.g. schedule of rates. You will have excellent Excel skills with the ability to interpret technical data.

The role:

On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Contract Support Officer, within a Property Services/Safety or Asset Management team.

You will have the ability to interrogate, manipulate and interpret data and produce clear and accurate reporting based on a range of requirements, so previous experience working with and interpreting technical data is highly desirable. They will also be confident in their ability to spot inconsistencies and will use the resources available to check data when it might feel out of line.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee servicing, works, and maintenance contracts – ensuring compliance with time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction standards.
Lead day-to-day coordination of property safety servicing and maintenance with internal teams and external providers.
Support Contract Managers with contractor performance – KPIs, meetings, actions, and underperformance resolution.
Deputise for Contract Managers when required, including chairing meetings.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with data management policies.
Carry out audits of assets, equipment, and servicing schedules – resolve and monitor discrepancies.
Assist in designing and implementing systems, processes, and procedures to evidence compliance.
Develop and maintain operating manuals and user guides.
Provide technical support and advice to stakeholders, translating complex information clearly.
Build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, providers, and suppliers.
Ensure accurate financial records and coordination with Finance and budget holders.
Take ownership of issues/complaints and drive effective resolutions.



What the client is looking for:

Experience of working within a Property Services/Safety or Asset Management team, within a local authority or social housing group
Previous experience supporting the delivery of programmes, works, contracts or projects in a related industry
Basic understanding of Property Services/Safety or Asset Management related contracts including awareness of KPIs and cost models e.g. schedule of rates
Understanding of Landlord H&S legislative requirements and industry practice for management is desirable
Be a confident user of Microsoft Office suite, job management/CRM databases
Experience of managing record and data storage and retrieval systems
Ability to manipulate and interpret data and produce clear and accurate reporting based on a range of requirements
Previous experience working with and interpreting technical data is desirable
Able to think logically and translate ideas and thought processes into practical and achievable work plans
Able to communicate effectively with external stakeholders, contractors, customers and colleagues
Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes to ensure you can meet with the team in various locations
Educated to GCSE Standard (or equivalent), including passes in English and Maths
