- From a bold idea to revolutionising dog food, More Years has grown into a fast-scaling business dedicated to helping dogs live longer, healthier lives.
- In just three years, we’ve built a thriving start-up serving thousands of happy customers across the UK - and we’re just getting started. Our mission is to give dog owners a better, fresher, and healthier way to feed their pets. We craft human-cut, personalised meals designed around each dog’s unique needs, delivered straight to their door - no preservatives, no compromises, just real nutrition.
- You can find our customers across the UK, with ambitions to scale internationally and continue transforming how people care for their dogs. 🚀
- Your Mission
- We’re looking for a hands-on Continuous Improvement Technologist; a practical, detail-driven food technologist who thrives at the intersection of Development, Technical, and Operations.
- In this role, you’ll be the link between kitchen innovation and operational excellence - helping turn breakthrough concepts into consistent, audit-ready products that deliver the same exceptional quality every time. You’ll take ownership of on-floor quality checks, lead product verification and oxidation testing, and drive improvement projects that make our production sharper, smarter, and more reliable.
- This is a role where your impact will be felt daily: every process you refine, every issue you solve, every improvement you lead directly supports our mission to help dogs live longer, healthier lives. You’ll work across teams to uphold our standards of care, precision, and innovation, making sure our food meets the same quality we’d expect for ourselves.
- Working closely with the Technical and NPD teams, you’ll combine a problem-solving mindset with practical know-how to continuously raise the bar - for quality, consistency, and the way we make food that really matters.
- Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance & Verification
- Run daily QA checks including metal detector, checkweigher, seal integrity, GMP walkdowns and hygiene verifications.
- Capture and log quality data including photos, batch codes, and retention samples.
- Support internal audits by collecting evidence and running site walkdowns.
- Testing & Product Validation
- Lead product verification and oxidation testing programmes, including in-house and external lab analysis.
- Manage sample chain-of-custody, trend results, and lead mitigation trials based on outcomes.
- Appraise NPD specifications and documentation prior to handover.
- Continuous Improvement & CAPA Management
- Lead root cause analyses (RCAs) and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), coordinating fixes with Operations and validating results.
- Maintain the CAPA tracker and ensure actions are closed out to Technical sign-off.
- Deliver continuous improvement projects that strengthen product quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Data, Reporting & Supplier Management
- Maintain version control of QAS/specifications and update the weekly technical dashboard (complaints, PV, waste, NCRs).
- Run monthly quality review meetings.
- Assist with raw material and packaging intake checks, ensuring COA/QAS compliance and tracking supplier performance.
- Trial & Launch Support
- Assist in factory trials, creating batch sheets, sampling plans, and capturing deviations.
- Produce clear trial reports and launch verification packs that support smooth product transitions from NPD to full-scale production.
- What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or equivalent.
- 3–7 years’ experience in food manufacturing, QA, or NPD with strong factory exposure.
- Experience with shelf-life or stability testing (PV/oxidation desirable).
- Advanced Excel skills; document control or ERP experience preferred.
- Pragmatic, hands-on problem solver with strong organisational skills and confidence on the factory floor.
