We're looking for a Construction Manager to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team based Nationally.



Location: National

Hours: 45 hours per week

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.



What will you be responsible for?

As Construction Manager, you'll be working within the Nuclear and Energy Business stream. The Kier Nuclear and Energy Business unit is looking to strengthen the Works Management team with the appointment of a Construction Manager to specifically address opportunities at Sizewell and, potentially, other UK wide locations.

Your day to day will include:

-Champion a culture of safety through engaging inductions, toolbox talks, task briefings, and coaching on risk assessments and safe practices.

-Drive operational efficiency by fostering collaboration, aligning tasks with team strengths, and leading structured coordination sessions.

-Manage resources effectively by organizing materials, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring high-quality delivery standards.

-Ensure compliance and collaboration by implementing safety plans, enforcing PPE use, verifying training, and working with teams on safe, cost-effective methods.

-Promote inclusion and client engagement by supporting team wellbeing, encouraging diversity, and positioning Kier as the contractor of choice.

What are we looking for?

This role of Construction Manager is great for you if:

-NVQ Level 6, Higher National Certificate (HNC), Diploma (HND) or Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline.

-Gold (Supervisor), Black (Manager) or White (Academically/Professionally Qualified) Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card

-SMSTS qualification

-Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

-Excellent organisational and time management skills.

-Knowledge of industry health and safety requirements

-Ability to set up and run the works side of a large infrastructure project from the beginning.

-Experience of delivering civil engineering works within regulated environments eg Nuclear, Aviation, Rail, Road.

-Strong experience in the delivery of a range of civils engineering disciplines eg, piling, bulk excavation, large volume concrete pours, tunnelling works, rail, formwork systems, networks installation, highways construction.
