We are pleased to be working on behalf of a leading and global insurance provider, who require an Underwriter experienced in the construction / engineering sectors (either domestic or international) to join their growing department underwriting and producing insurance and reinsurance business within authority levels.Responsibilities:Candidates will be responsible for the underwriting of cases in a consistent and technical manner within the authority limit.You will act as the primary contact for medium sized clients and support with larger sized clients.Experience:Candidates need to come from an engineering or construction underwriting background and have knowledge of the UK or international construction market.You will be calm, flexible, diplomatic and have strong commercial acumen.You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications and CRM systemsIn return candidates can expect to receive a competitive basic salary and a leading benefits package including enhanced pension, PMI (including family), 32 days holiday + bank holidays, bonus potential etc.
