The Role: Computing Teacher
As the Computing Teacher, you will be instrumental in delivering an engaging curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially A-Level/Key Stage 5), covering areas such as programming, digital literacy, and computer science theory. You will foster a love for technology and computational thinking, preparing students for success in the modern world.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Computing, ensuring full coverage of the curriculum and promoting high levels of student attainment.
- Teach practical programming skills using languages like Python, Java, or others relevant to the curriculum.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work, resources, and assessment materials.
- Manage and maintain a safe, purposeful, and stimulating learning environment within the computing labs.
- Participate in extracurricular activities such as coding clubs or technology workshops to further enhance student engagement.
- Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and professional development in the rapidly evolving field of technology.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a specialist who is passionate about Computer Science and can bring their expertise to life in the classroom.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
- A degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject.
- Proven ability to teach Computing effectively across all secondary key stages.
- Strong practical experience with programming languages and software applications relevant to the curriculum.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and challenge all students.
- The desire to contribute positively to the wider school community and departmental growth.
