About the role: This newly created Compliance Officer role reports through to the Chief Legal and Risk Officer (CLRO) and plays a critical role in ensuring that Estia Health meets its legal and regulatory obligations. In this role you will manage compliance frameworks and systems, monitor legislative and regulatory requirements, and partner with business units to provide proactive compliance advice and risk mitigation strategies. You will also participate in assurance activities, including reviews and control testing, and prepare compliance reports. In addition, you will assist with risk-related activities such as maintaining risk registers and supporting assurance programs. Through accurate reporting, analysis, and collaboration, you will help embed a strong compliance culture and contribute to informed decision-making across the organisation. Responsibilities: The ideal person will have: A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. law, compliance, risk management, business or a related discipline). Professional certifications or demonstrated commitment to ongoing development in compliance or risk management. Experience in other compliance roles, ideally within a regulated industry, including monitoring and interpreting legislative and regulatory changes and managing compliance programs. Had exposure to audit, quality, or risk management activities, such as maintaining risk registers and supporting risk assessments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, accurate documentation and reports.
