As part of the charity’s ambitious growth and development plan, we are looking for a Community & Events Fundraiser to join the fundraising team and drive the community events programme, supporting volunteers and regional teams to deliver successful fundraising activities that bring people together and generate vital income.
We’re looking for a relationship focussed events and community fundraising professional to join the growing team. With a prominent cause in the spotlight, you will have the opportunity to develop a variety of relationships, supporting the crucial work of this much-loved charity.
Community & Events Fundraiser
Full Time, Permanent
Oxfordshire with Flexible and Hybrid Working
4 days per month in the office
Willingness and ability to travel to meetings required (expenses reimbursed)
Up to £35,000 per annum
Duties will include:
• Organise and manage a wide range of community fundraising events from concept to execution, ensuring every event is well-planned and runs smoothly.
• Foster local engagement, identify opportunities to scale events nationally, and ensure supporters feel valued and empowered to make a difference.
• Set and achieve fundraising targets for each event. Identify new opportunities for fundraising through events and provide recommendations for improving event-related fundraising efforts.
• Grow fundraising income from community and voluntary relationships
• Provide the necessary support, training and guidance to ensure volunteers and local teams are equipped to execute fundraising activities successfully
• Work with local community groups to raise awareness of and support for the charity
• Work with the Marketing and Communications team to help create event marketing materials to promote events and drive participation.
Ideal candidates will have:
• A proven and successful track record of planning multiple fundraising events throughout the year.
• Experience creating and managing great supporter relationships to deliver agreed objectives and income targets.
• Ability to plan income/expenditure budgets and analyse results
• Ability to motivate, inspire and lead supporters at various levels
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the area and work unsociable hours occasionally (TOIL)
• Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle (car allowance provided)
