  • The Role
  • The Operations team at Javelin manages the reconciliation, confirmation and settlement of commodity products within Javelin. Working with the Logistics team and traders, Operations ensure that risk is captured accurately, and the full lifecycle of the trade is supported effectively.
  • As the business continues to expand and grow, we are looking for an additional Operations Analyst to join the Operations team. Ideally this hire will have at least one or two years' operations experience within physical commodities. Dynamic and always challenging, this role will complement the responsibilities of the other team members and work as part of the team to achieve the Operation Group’s objectives, and provide a broad range of career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Trade Settlement and Invoicing process for physical and financial commodities
  • Liaising with Trading/Logistics team to resolve queries and discrepancies
  • Monitoring and updating settlements systems and daily reporting
  • Reconciling cash balances
  • Ongoing management of Financing transactions
  • Documenting processes and procedures
  • We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive candidate with 3+ years’ experience in Commodities Operations.
  • A strong work ethic is required to help drive the team forward and push for technology-based solutions.
  • Demonstrable organizational skills
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload and judge priority and urgency of requests and issues
