Temporary ContractMonday - Friday, 35 hours per week About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Commissioning Manager to join our Children's Care and Support Commissioning Team. This role plays a vital part in shaping innovative commissioning and care models that improve outcomes for children, young people and families across the borough. As a key member of the team, you will support the development and delivery of outcomes-based commissioning, working across areas such as SEND, early years, transport, brokerage, looked-after children and care leavers. You will help us create meaningful, value-for-money services in a challenging and evolving market. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Commissioning Develop, implement and review commissioning strategies aligned to Council, departmental and national requirements.Lead and facilitate strategic groups that set priorities for service commissioning.Work in partnership with health colleagues, voluntary sector partners and internal teams to deliver integrated commissioning.Maintain a strong understanding of local needs, identifying gaps and shaping future services accordingly.Ensure commissioned services are outcome-focused and deliver excellent value for money.Lead strategic service reviews to develop and implement effective service models and pathways.
