We are working with a respected engineering business specialising in pump rental and water solutions, seeking a Commissioning Electrician to join their technical operations team covering projects across Liverpool and the wider North West.This is a key position responsible for the commissioning, testing, and optimisation of electrical pumping systems, ensuring every installation operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.The role offers the chance to work across varied projects, taking ownership from final installation through to customer handover.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesCarry out commissioning and functional testing of pump system installations including level controllers, inverters, PLCs, and associated control equipmentVerify electrical systems against specifications, performing inspection, testing, and certification to required standardsTroubleshoot and resolve electrical or control system faults during commissioning and handoverCollaborate with installation teams to resolve on-site issues and implement long-term preventative measuresProduce detailed commissioning reports, documenting configurations, test results, and recommendationsDeliver customer handovers, including operational guidance and commissioning documentationSupport continuous improvement initiatives, promoting safety, efficiency, and system reliability across projectsSkills & Experience RequiredProven experience commissioning and testing electrical systems within industrial, utilities, or pumping environmentsStrong understanding of 3-phase systems, PLCs, HMIs, control circuits, and instrumentationSkilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawingsExcellent fault-finding ability with a methodical, problem-solving mindsetWorking knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Re
