Responsibilities
As a Commercial Assistant, you'll be working within the Devonport Dock team, supporting them by liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors;
Your day to day will include:
-Assist with the processing and verification of supply chain payments, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and timelines.
-Prepare and post cost journals, including cost reallocations and cost allocations across project work packages.
-Support the timesheet journalling process, ensuring accurate labour cost capture and allocation.
-Maintain and update commercial records, trackers, and reports to support project cost control and forecasting.
-Liaise with internal departments (finance, procurement, site teams) and external suppliers to resolve queries and ensure smooth commercial operations.
-Assist in the preparation of monthly cost reports and commercial submissions.
-·Support the Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyors with ad hoc administrative and analytical tasks.
