Job Description:

We are looking for a College Sports Writer at Sportradar who is passionate about college sports, specifically college football, and has experience with sports betting and DFS. Sportradar has recently acquired websites that produce content around college sports and want to invest further in resourcing those sites.

This College Sports Writer position will be a work-from-home position, but the individual does need to reside in a legal online sports betting or DFS state. This is an important qualification, as they will need access to the online sportsbook/DFS apps available.

Sportradar is asking for 40 hours per week from this position, with flexibility in when those hours are worked, especially during the college football season and March Madness tournament.

 

The Challenge:

The College Sports Writer will be responsible for the following duties at Sportradar:

  • Covering breaking college athletics news in a fast-paced environment

  • Sharing articles to social media

  • Crafting stories with strong SEO headlines and best SEO practices

  • Provide betting advice for specific games, weekly schedules, or futures

  • Working together with a team of other writers to provide the audience with quality content

  • Communicating with team members in a timely fashion

  • Monetizing their content in accordance with our business strategies

 

The sites the College Sports Writer will contribute to include: · Saturday Down South · Saturday Tradition

 

Qualifications

  • Passionate about college sports, specifically college football

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Understand and enjoy sports betting and DFS

  • Understand and execute content marketing strategies

  • Take instruction well and work within a team

  • Understand SEO

  • Be able to work quickly and jump from one priority to the next

  • Be able to bring their own audience to the site

  • Familiar with WordPress
