Position: CNC Setter/Operator Salary: £30,000 - £36,000Location: Weymouth, DorsetJob Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role A well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Weymouth is expanding its team and seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong long-term order book and a commitment to high-quality, low-medium batch production. Key Responsibilities Setting and operating CNC Milling or Turning machinesWorking with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls (experience preferred but not essential)Ensuring components meet tight tolerances and quality standardsReading and interpreting engineering drawingsCarrying out basic machine maintenance and troubleshootingMaintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environmentWorking closely with Production and Quality teams to achieve deadlines Ideal Candidate You'll be an experienced CNC Machinist with a hands-on approach who enjoys working in a fast-paced precision engineering environment. Essential Requirements Skilled CNC Milling or Turning experienceAbility to set and operate CNC machines confidentlyAbility to read and understand technical/engineering drawingsGood attention to detail and a strong quality mindsetStrong problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated with a professional attitude Desirable Experience with Heidenhain (Milling) or Fanuc (Turning/Milling)Background in Aerospace, Defence, Medical, or similar precision fieldsExperience working with low to medium batch production Hours Minimum 39 hours per week: Monday to Thursday: 8am - 4pmFriday: 8am - 1pm</
