We are currently recruiting for experienced Machine Operators on behalf of our client based in Thetford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing manufacturing company offering full-time hours, comprehensive training, and the potential for long-term employment.The working hours for this role are 7:00 - 15:30 during the training period. Once training is successfully completed, the shift will change to 14:30 - 23:00.The pay rate starts at £13.00 per hour during training, increasing to £14.00 per hour once you move to the PM shift.As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating Trumpf CNC punch press machines to manufacture sheet metal components in line with production requirements.Your duties will include: Operating Trumpf punch press machines to produce sheet metal parts according to job specifications.Safely loading and unloading metal sheets onto the machine.Monitoring machine performance and making basic adjustments when required.Inspecting finished parts for quality and accuracy using standard measuring tools.Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.Reporting any machine faults, defects, or production issues to the supervisor.Following all factory safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Assisting with basic tool changes and supporting other production tasks as needed. Qualifications & Skills: Previous experience working in a factory or metal fabrication environment is an advantage.Basic knowledge of CNC or punching machines is preferred.Ability to read and understand simple technical or engineering drawings.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Good teamwork and communication skills.
