- The Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team plays an essential role in translating Microsoft’s Commercial Strategy to a local execution plan and driving operational excellence to achieve the greatest results possible. Our team drives cross-Region, cross-Area and cross-Subsidiary insight and execution excellence, bringing strategy and priorities to life by accelerating the pace of transformation and enabling Microsoft to deliver business impact at scale.

EMEA Cloud & AI Platforms Compete GTM Lead is responsible for driving competitive strategy, and execution across 120+ countries of EMEA.
- We’re looking for a highly driven, motivated marketing or sales individual to join our Go-to-Market (GTM) team. This role requires someone who acts as a thought leader, is self-starter, creative, tracks success criteria and performance metrics, works with emergent technology, creates alignment and action across teams, removes roadblocks, and simplifies complex concepts. - Responsibilities
- Competitive Strategy Development
- Develop and execute compete strategies aligned to business priorities (e.g. AWS, Google Oracle, and point competitors). Lead the creation of compete plans, integrating market intelligence, customer feedback, and field insights to transition our focus from defensive to offensive.
- Field Enablement & Execution
- Equip sales and marketing teams with competitive insights, playbooks, and objection-handling guidance. Drive adoption of compete tools like the Digital Win Room, Seismic, and compete escalation paths. Partner with Core teams to ensure we have a clear roadmap of compete assets, a faster turnaround as competitive strategy changes and that we embed closed loop feedback across all of our deliverables.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with STU, CSU, GBBs, and Marketing to align compete efforts with GTM motions. Act as the primary liaison to the Competitive Intelligence Group and CELA for compliance on competitive data usage. Provide leadership level insights on compete landscape and guidance on strategic decisions needed to win across markets.
- Opportunity Support
- Provide direct support on high-value competitive deals, including executive briefings, TCO modelling, and migration strategy development. Escalate and coordinate support through Area Win Rooms and global compete resources. Use data modelling, white space and competitive analysis to ensure pinned roles and Solution Play focused roles are equipped with the right focus and precision targeting.
- Insights & Reporting
- Track competitive trends, win/loss data, and field feedback to inform strategy. Present insights to leadership and contribute to quarterly business reviews and planning cycles.
- Qualifications
- Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive, hands-on experience in strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work. Understanding of GenAI, Migration, Apps Modernization, Data Platform, Security, Developer marketplace, or other product areas relevant to the Cloud & AI Platforms solution area is preferred. Demonstrable market and competitor expertise required.
- Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field beneficial but not essential.
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure / Cloud & AI Platforms portfolio, including competitive offerings and the integration of Azure AI across the piece.
- Understanding of Microsoft’s broader AI strategy and the critical role Cloud & AI Platforms plays in the bigger picture.
- Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs
