CAMs are assigned to clients and opportunities who have a significant growth prospect, either through the scale and complexity of the work that they will need to deliver or because they are technically or commercially innovative and have the potential to change our market position as a result. You will possess a proven track record in managing client accounts, driving business development, and delivering exceptional service in the water sector.

- Expertise: You will ensure that we are bringing all AECOM has to offer to clients, maintaining a good understanding of our technical & business service offerings and identifying areas where we need to adapt or strengthen to meet their future requirements and address challenges.
- Growth: You will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the pursuit, overseeing the positioning, win planning and delivery of the bid. Overall, you will ensure we create a compelling client offer that is deliverable, and effect hand over of successful pursuits to the delivery teams to implement.
- Collaborate: You will liaise with our internal teams to assess resource availability and assist in assembling delivery teams that maximise our chances of winning future work.
Required expertise
- Developing, maintaining and implementing an account strategy aimed at positioning for future work. This will include developing partnering strategies and relationships as appropriate.
- Developing and implementing a sales strategy, ensuring compliance with internal sales process and governance, aimed at winning new work that will be of significant size, complexity or importance to a business.
- Leading the end to end delivery of a major pursuit, including effective long term positioning, leading the pursuit during procurement including estimating and managing the bid budget, developing a high calibre ‘technical/quality proposal’, delivery of a pricing / commercial strategy that is attractive to the client and creates a sustainable commercial position for delivery, ensuring we negotiate suitable terms and conditions.
- Prepare and conduct regular account reviews with business leaders to promote transparency and alignment on the account goals and performance. This will include intelligence gathering and sharing and engaging with the wider business to build and maintain an effective engagement plan.
- You will stay up to date on industry/sector developments and trends so you're able to provide relevant insight to our wider teams.
