We are looking for an experienced Technical Support Advisor / Clerk of Works to join our clients multidisciplinary contractor design team. You will support projects across all stages, from early design to completion, spanning a diverse portfolio including education, retail, commercial, industrial, offices, healthcare, research facilities, and award-winning residential and Passivhaus developments.In this role, you will provide proactive technical advice and support to our construction site teams, ensuring high standards of quality, compliance, and construction excellence are achieved.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport site teams in the preparation and implementation of Project Quality Plans, monitoring and testing processes, and quality proceduresConduct site reviews and provide reports highlighting:Best practice examplesItems requiring referral to the design teamNon-conformance or compliance issues against quality standards, Employers Requirements, and statutory requirementsRecommended preventative actions for project acceptanceProvide Construction Materials Site Support, including:Materials inspection, testing, and reportingSpecification guidanceMonitoring and support for complex or high-quality worksCollaborate with Group Specialist Businesses to obtain technical and design support as requiredMentor and support site teams to uphold quality standards and improve processesSkills & KnowledgeStrong construction technical knowledge and practical experienceFamiliarity with materials, quality standards, and technical standards (e.g., Building Regulations)Excellent communication skills and an eye for detailMembership of ICWCI, or working toward, is advantageousProven ability to problem-solve and implement best practice solutionsExperience & QualificationsMinimum 15 yea
