Class 2 Driver Location: CullomptonShift: 5 out of 7 days, based on a rolling rota. Do you have a UK Class 2 CE Licence?If "YES," we want to hear from you About the Role As a Class 2 Driver, you will: Delivering bakery products on behalf of Allied Bakeries, Hovis and Braces Bakery from our depot in Cullompton to a range of retail outlets, wholesale and convenience stores across the South West Peninsula.Loading/unloading of vehicles.Dealing with customers face to face at delivery points and managing our customers' delivery expectations.A flexible approach is required as the job will involve early starts as well as tail-lift use and the manual handling of bread deliveries.Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, load restraining bars, and other securing devices as needed.Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices. Essential Skills and Qualifications Must hold a UK Class 2 CE Licence.Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.Passionate about providing excellent customer service.Ability to work to deadlines.Confident, polite, and a team player.Good geographical knowledge.Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
