HGV Class 1 Driver – Days – Aston People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Aston, West Midlands. Shifts Start times between 03:00 and 06:30 Monday to Friday Rates of Pay £16.00 per hour Benefits Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay Training provided Immediate starts available Day-to-Day Duties Complete RDC or customer deliveries (may include some handballing) using curtain-side or tail-lift vehicles Operate and drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured correctly Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assist with loading and unloading of goods when required Complete all required delivery paperwork accurately Essential Skills Valid UK Category C+E Licence Minimum of 24 months’ Class 1 driving experience No more than six penalty points (no major endorsements) Valid UK CPC and Digital Tachograph Cards Good level of spoken and written English Punctual and reliable with excellent time-keeping
