Role Description

This role involves processing life and health insurance claims, promoting occupational health, and managing disabilities.

  • Provide discipline-specific technical support to help your unit carry out its activities, initiatives, and processes in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Support more experienced employees and assist with technical work and analysis involving processes, information management, and data processing.
  • Process claims in accordance with the contractual clauses of the insurance policy.
  • Escalate more complex claims to another processing level, if applicable.
  • Establish the benefit amount, determine the payable period (for PTD: integration), proceed with payment, and carry out the necessary follow-up (e.g., close the file or continue making payments).
  • Assist insureds with the CPP or QPP application process.
  • Calculate and explain deductions and negotiate reimbursements if necessary.
  • Communicate with partners, professionals, and clients to obtain and provide information, justifications, and interpretations.
  • Communicate with claims management offices across the country (Lévis, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver).

Qualifications

  • College diploma in a related field
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Advanced proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties or work tools, or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members, and/or clients
