Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cafe Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and maintaining the cleanliness of the coffee shop. This position requires a blend of barista skills, customer service, and time management to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
- Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines and grinders.

- Serve Cake
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently and assist customers in making menu selections when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop and seating areas
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till
- Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
- Assist in food preparation when needed

Requirements
- Previous experience in a front-of-house role, preferably in a coffee shop or restaurant setting (training will also be given)
- Previous experience with brewing equipment and other drinks
- Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability
- Strong time management skills to handle peak hours effectively
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Helpful attitude towards customers and team members.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
