We’re looking for a Waking Night Childcare Worker to join our dedicated residential care team.About the role:As a Waking Night Childcare Worker, you’ll provide safety, support, and reassurance to children and young people during the night. You’ll ensure their wellbeing, manage routines, and respond to any needs that arise while maintaining a nurturing and structured environment.Key responsibilities:Ensure the safety and welfare of children throughout the night.Maintain accurate records and handover notes for the daytime staff.Provide emotional reassurance and practical support when needed.Carry out nightly household tasks to keep the home clean and organised.Follow safeguarding procedures and individual care plans.What we’re looking for:Previous experience in a childcare, residential, or support setting (preferred).A caring, patient, and resilient nature.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Willingness to work night shifts on a rota basis.NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People or equivalent (or willingness to work towards it).Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).What we offer:Competitive salary (£25,500 – £28,000 depending on experience).Ongoing training and professional development.Supportive management and friendly team environment.Pension scheme and paid annual leave.
