We are looking for a caring and committed Children’s Worker to join our team, supporting children and young people with complex physical and psychological support needs. This role involves providing high-quality care and support in a residential setting and in the community, helping children and young people experience safe, meaningful and inclusive activities tailored to their individual needs and aspirations. The role As part of a supportive team, you will play an active role in delivering person-centred care and positive experiences for children and young people. Your responsibilities will include: Providing day-to-day care and support for children and young people with complex needsDelivering care in line with individual care plans and organisational standardsSupporting personal care, physical health needs and medication as requiredActing as Keyworker for identified children and contributing to care planning and reviewsPlanning and delivering activities that promote development, inclusion and enjoymentImplementing agreed behaviour support strategiesSupporting and working in partnership with families and carersMaintaining accurate and up-to-date records and care plansCommunicating effectively with colleagues, families and other professionalsPromoting social inclusion and access to local services and leisure opportunitiesParticipating in supervision, reflection and ongoing professional developmentWorking flexibly across a rota to meet the needs of the service About you You will have a genuine interest in working with children and young people with disabilities, including those whose needs may at times present as challenging behaviour.
