- Working Pattern: 22.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday between 07:45 to 09:00, 14:45 to 18:00 and various shifts between 07:30 to 18:00 during school holidays

As a Childcare Practitioner you will be expected to
- Plan, facilitate and supervise a wide range of play-based activities and social experiences both in and outdoors. This will include setting up the play space to ensure it is safe, stimulating and welcoming.
- Empower children to lead their own play, guiding them on as needed to boost their creativity and independence.
- Support children to prepare healthy snacks in line with dietary and nutritional need and guidelines.
- Support and encourage children to build confidence, self-esteem, and lifelong skills through play and exploration.
- Deal with accidents and incidents, responding calmly and professional, ensuring children’s health and wellbeing needs are met.
- The Person
We are therefore looking for someone who
- is fun, engaging and has experience of working with children and young people of all ages.
- holds a relevant childcare qualification, or is willing to work towards one as required by the Scottish Social Services Council
- is reliable, has good communication skills and can work as part of a team

- Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain a Level 2 Disclosure with PVG. This will be actioned as part of your pre-employment checks.
- As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
- If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you’re registered within the required six months.
- If you need to achieve a qualification to maintain your SSSC membership, information will be provided if you are appointed. You must ensure you complete the qualification within the specified timeframe.
