Child Support WorkerSEN Residential School/Children's Home in LymingtonFull-time - Temp to perm contractAcademics are recruiting on behalf of an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' residential SEN school in between Lymington and Brockenhurst in the New Forest. All young people have an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) with their primary special need being Autism and require support to access education, have difficulty initiating or limited social interactions and need support with organisation and problem solving, which can hamper independence. They may typically be working at or above age-related expectations or with moderate learning difficulties.They are looking to appoint a number of experienced Child Support Worker's to join them on a temp to perm contract. You will be required to help develop their independence skills, pursue hobbies and introduce new hobbies or any activities the young person would like to try, understand the wider community and help build relationships and make friends.Child Support Worker's must be able to drive as there are no public transport links directly to the residential school and be able to drive a standard mini bus as part of the role, or be willing to. Shifts include working weekend and bank holidays. The hours are preferably full-time - 40 hours a week although they can offer part-time; either 32 or 24 hours a week only.Shifts types: Early: start at 07.15 - 15.30 - Late: 15.00 - 22.30hrs - Long day: 07.15 - 22.15Whilst on contract with Academics, the hourly rate is £13.68 per hour. Once on a permanent contract, hourly rates range from £13.12 per hour, up to £14.88, dependent on experience.Once the role becomes permanent, you are required to complete a Level 3 RQF within two years of starting the role.
