Are you a highly motivated and qualified Chemistry Teacher looking for a new opportunity?
We are working with a wide range of secondary schools across the Sefton area and are seeking dedicated professionals for both long-term and permanent roles. You will have the chance to inspire students and contribute to the success of a thriving science department.
Pay: £150 - £220 per day, dependent on experience.
The Role
We have positions available in schools located in all areas of Sefton, including:
- Bootle (L20)
- Crosby (L23)
- Formby (L37)
- Maghull (L31)
- Southport (PR8, PR9)
- Litherland (L21)
- Ainsdale (PR8)
- Hightown (L38)
As a Chemistry Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and high-quality Chemistry lessons to students from Key Stage 3 to A-Level.
- Developing and implementing lesson plans that are both challenging and accessible to all students.
- Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to support their learning and academic progress.
- Creating a positive and safe classroom environment that encourages scientific curiosity and a love for the subject.
- Collaborating with fellow science teachers to share resources and ideas, and to contribute to the department's ongoing success.

Skills and Qualifications Needed:
To be a successful candidate, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Chemistry or a related science subject with a Chemistry specialism.
- Proven experience teaching Chemistry in a UK secondary school.
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and public examination requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- A valid enhanced DBS check (or a willingness to apply for one).
