This role will suit a research-minded engineer or scientist with a strong background in fuel chemistry, combustion, or safety analysis.Your main responsibilities will be: Conducting a detailed literature review on flammability characteristics of hydrocarbon fuelsInvestigating whether a predictive relationship exists between flash point and flammability limits (UEL/LEL)Comparing SAF properties (including paraffinic and synthetic fuels) against conventional kerosene (Jet A-1)Summarising findings in clear, evidence-based technical reportsMaking recommendations for how these relationships may inform future safety assessments or certification standards
•  QualificationsExperience, skills and qualifications required: Degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Combustion Science, or a related disciplineExperience working with fuel properties, flammability analysis, or combustion safetyStrong technical writing and literature review skillsUnderstanding of SAFs, synthetic fuels, or fuel certification is beneficial but not essentialAdditional InformationWhy join us? We foster a community of dually talented individuals who are both entrepreneurs and technology specialists.
