We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our culinary team in a part time role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a small kitchen, and be able to work independently, serving between 15 and 30+ meals in a service, and up to 50+ in a team at an event. They must have good knowledge of food service management, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management. The Chef will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our homeowners while maintaining efficient kitchen operations. They must also be able to create an amazing traditional roast dinner.

Hour for this role are:

Saturdays: 9 - 3

Sundays: 10 - 3

Mondays: 4 - 8

Tuesdays: 4 - 8

Duties

Ensure all food safety procedures are strictly followed according to sanitary regulations
Maintain safe working conditions
Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products and equipment
Order products as necessary
Planning menus in consultation with management
Ensuring that health and safety regulations are strictly observed, recorded and archived
Monitoring the quality of the product and service provided
Will be cooking a traditional Brunch, a Roast Dinner, and then 2 specials or A La Carte evenings.
Experience

Proven experience in catering to the 55+ age group would be an advantage.
Able to cook both traditional dishes, and have a flair for experimentation.
Strong background in food service management, including supervisory roles within a kitchen environment.
Experience in menu planning, inventory management, and catering services is desired.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry is essential.
Previous experience in bartending or hospitality roles is an advantage but not mandatory.
