About
- Are you an organised, people-focused admin who enjoys keeping people, information and systems running smoothly? Busy Bees Oamaru Montessori is looking for a Centre Administrator to support our kaiako, whānau and Centre Manager in a part time, fixed term role through to the end of February 2027. This suits someone who brings warmth, accuracy and clear communication to their mahi. About us: Busy Bees Oamaru Montessori is a purpose-built Montessori nursery and preschool with a small, professional team and a strong sense of whanaungatanga. The environment is carefully prepared so tamariki can move independently and focus on their learning. Behind that sits a lot of organisation. You would be part of a team who value respect, partnership with whānau and attention to detail, and who see admin as a key part of holding that environment together. As part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, we have established systems, clear processes and support from our wider network for training and development. The mahi: Greet parents, visitors and tamariki and support positive daily interactions Manage enrolment and attendance information in Discover and other systems Support invoicing, receipting and basic debtor follow up Answer phone calls, emails and day to day enquiries Prepare reports and support compliance and licensing requirements Coordinate information between the centre and Support Office Assist the Centre Manager with general admin and organisational tasks Help with Montessori events, parent evenings and community connections About you: You are warm, organised and confident in a busy, people filled environment. You enjoy answering questions, solving little problems and making sure details are taken care of. You are accurate with data and money, comfortable learning new software and like keeping information and records tidy. You can juggle tasks and still keep track of what is outstanding. You use good judgement with sensitive information and enjoy being someone others can rely on. Experience in ECE admin, Discover or accounts is helpful, and an interest in Montessori is a bonus, but your attitude and willingness to learn are just as important. Why you will love it here: You will be part of a friendly, values led team who understand how important good admin is. You will have supportive leadership, clear systems, induction and on the job training, a competitive remuneration package, subsidised childcare and access to Busy Bees Aotearoa development opportunities. This is a role where your people skills and attention to detail genuinely support tamariki, whānau and kaiako every day. If this sounds like you, please apply with your CV and a cover letter. Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. Why Work for Busy Bees? If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be.
