- Student Interfaith Leader – Grade 3
Under instruction from the University Lead Chaplain and following appropriate training
- Develop positive relationships with the Durham Interfaith Student Network, relevant faith societies and other stakeholders
- Share in leading the Durham Interfaith Student Network with the faith society representatives and others
- Organise events bringing together Jewish and Muslim students with a social and educational focus in a safe and respectful space
- Under the management of the Lead Chaplain, use the relevant budget for interfaith events and initiatives, especially those focussed on or involving Jewish-Muslim dialogue
- Explore and learn from initiatives in other universities that provide opportunities for student interfaith engagement through online research and developing appropriate contacts
- Meet regularly with the Lead Chaplain for mentoring and supervision
