Market 36 Recruitment are delighted to be supporting Essex County Council (ECC) on behalf of Braintree District Council in recruiting a Cashier on a full-time, temporary basis.Pay: £13.79 per hourDue to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to work on-site only.The Opportunity To assist in the daily processing of the Income Management Collection Service, ensuring Council policies and procedures are followed at all times and that income due is maximised.Roles & Responsibilities • Ensuring all monies received, in all formats, are accurately reconciled and deposited • Processing payments efficiently and accurately • Liaising with the Council’s banking provider, external agencies and internal Council officers regarding income management matters • Dealing with correspondence and enquiries relating to income management, including investigating non-receipt of payments • Maintaining accurate records relating to receipts and reconciliations • Passing collections to the security company in line with security procedures • Maintaining high standards of customer care and promoting service excellence • Supporting continuous improvement of the service • Providing general administrative support as requiredSuccessful candidates will have • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel • A good general education • The ability to work accurately and meet deadlines • Knowledge or experience of banking services and related processes • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both face-to-face and over the telephone • A methodical and accurate approach to tasks • Willingness to undertake relevant training • The ability to prioritise work and complete tasks to required standards and timescalesMarket 36 Recruitment Ltd cover a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Engineering,
