  • Job Description
  • We are looking to recruit a Team Leader for the Cash Operations Department
  • The Cash Operation Teams provide effective cash management for funds moving into and out of the Platform.
  • As a Team Leader you will manage and optimise workflows through the Cash Operation Teams as well as train, develop and coach team members to deliver the highest standard of operational service. This role will also be the initial referral point for all technical queries from within the team and other teams.
  • What does the job involve?

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows

  • Ensuring that all team tasks are carried in an efficient and controlled manner with timely and accurate record keeping
  • Ensuring all internal and external SLAs are met
  • Development and production of effective KPI Data and MI to maximise productivity in the achievement of SLAs
  • Ensure team procedures are up to date and in line with company standards
  • Maintaining our high standards of customer service through carrying out regular QA checks and providing feedback
  • Coaching and developing staff, including regular 121’s and performance reviews, ensuring that training needs are identified and addressed
  • Continually review of existing risks and identify new risks as appropriate. Develop and maintain effective key controls to minimise risk to the business.
  • Co-operate with all other teams to ensure efficient operating processes and a positive client experience
  • Dealing with customer queries promptly and appropriately and prevent formal complaints where possible
  • Always ensuring compliance with FCA Regulations, with breaches/suspected breaches reported to Line Manager immediately
  • Support project implementations, fixes and upgrades through comprehensive testing of software and assisting with the definition of processes and procedures
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as per the business needs as defined by the Cash Operations Manager and Head of Custody.
  • All the above responsibilities must be carried out in line with our group procedures and within the spirit of our Guiding Principles.
  • Ensuring all duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, including consumer duty.
  • Following structured processes to deliver accurate outcomes to meet regulatory requirements, including consumer duty and deliver the best possible customer experience.
  • Approach vulnerable customers using best practice and document any reasonable steps taken for their fair treatment.

You'll have

  • Competence
  • Team Leading experience or significant experience of working in a senior financial services role.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the client money rules in relation to investment business (CASS)
  • Knowledge of banking payment methods (such as BACS, Faster Payments, Debit Card, Cheques)
  • CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC)
  • Knowledge and skills
  • Good product and system knowledge with previous experience in a cash/banking role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • A proactive team player with a positive approach and the ability to enthuse and motivate others
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven structured environment, unsupervised at times
  • Ability to organise and prioritise both self and others
  • Ability to delegate effectively
  • Assertiveness and a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent customer service skills

Hybrid working
