- This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. You will have full training and clinical support to develop and enhance skills in various complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care plus so much more! We care for and support people of all ages, in the community, and in their homes, with Spinal Cord injury, Muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injuries and many other complex needs. Every day will be different. And you’ll never know what challenges you’re about to face next. One thing you can be sure of though, is that you’ll be making your clients’ days brighter, whilst developing your skills and knowledge.
- You will be supporting a bright, friendly and engaging 34-year-old woman who is adjusting to life following a spinal cord injury. She has a close-knit family and two sisters, who know her best and who are closely involved in her care.
- Before her injury, she worked as a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse and still has a deep love for animals. She shares her home with her much-loved cat, Albus, and enjoys spending time with him. She has a passion for houseplants and finds joy in keeping them thriving. She is also an enthusiastic reader, always with a book on the go. Prior to her injury, she loved dancing, keeping fit, and walking her dog.
- She is looking for a compassionate, reliable carer to join her established care package as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity to work with someone who is warm, appreciative, and engaging—offering a rewarding and supportive care environment.
