  • Research Interns put inquiry and theory into practice. Alongside fellow doctoral candidates and some of the world's best researchers, Research Interns learn, collaborate, and network for life. Research Interns not only advance their own careers, but they also contribute to exciting research and development strides. During the 12-week internship, Research Interns are paired with mentors and expected to collaborate with other Research Interns and researchers, present findings, and contribute to the vibrant life of the community. Research internships are available in all areas of research, and are offered year-round, though they typically begin in the summer. Currently enrolled in or accepted to a PhD program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field; or proven comparable experience in industry. Experience with LLM architectures and distributed inference/training Understanding of AI hardware architectures, e.g. GPUs Experience with low-level AI software stack such as CUDA and NCCL. Experience with network simulation (e.g. ns3) Experience with hardware simulation (e.g. Cacti-3D) Experience with analytical performance modelling (e.g. alpha-beta model) Be able to work in a cross-functional and multi-disciplinary setting. Proficient software development skills, preferably in C++ and Python.
