CAD Designer (AutoCAD / Metal Fabrication) An experienced CAD Designer is required to join a small to medium business based in Corby, Northants. This is full time and permanent employment with the hiring company. The successful candidate will join an engineering fabrication company specialising in the bespoke design, manufacture and installation of architectural structures, including street furniture, working primarily with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium materials. Key responsibilities:Responsible for the technical general arrangement design, 2D and 3D production drawings of bespoke architectural structures and producing production component drawings. Working constructively with key customers to obtain client approval at general arrangement stage and through the generation of 3D and/ or 2D details, producing production drawings.Working closely with manufacturing and installation teams through the fabrication and site assembly stages. Applications are invited from candidates with the following experience and attributes: Experienced Designer (ideally 3 years), proficient in AutoCAD Inventor 3D design package with experience of producing sheet metal fabrication engineering drawingsProject management experience / ability to manage own projects through the design phaseGood understanding of construction methods and structural requirementsAbility to undertake site surveys to inform design workStrong communication skills and ability to work constructively with key customersA team player with a flexible attitude, energy and driveFurther details are available on application.
