Located at the Services Building (G12) on Camperdown Campus Use your experience to oversee the University Accommodation systems to ensure a seamless and positive student experience Base Salary HEO7, $112,628 - $122,702 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The University of Sydney is welcoming applications for a motivated and experienced Business Systems and Services Officer to join the University Infrastructure (UI) team under the Property and Development division. The UI team are responsible for the project management of transformational projects to a quality which meets the University’s expectations. The Property and Development Division is responsible for a broad range of activities relating to the University’s operational, investment, and leasehold properties. This includes investment, acquisition and sale, property management across operational leaseholds, retail operations, farm management, and the development of the student accommodation portfolio. The Business Systems and Services Officer oversees the University’s accommodation systems to ensure a seamless and positive student experience, while also supporting the Manager, Business Systems and Relationships, in driving sales to maximise revenue and occupancy across the student accommodation portfolio. Working closely with the External Operator and the Housing Officer, the Business Systems and Services Officer is responsible for ensuring the efficient end-to-end management of the student accommodation acceptance process—from application and room allocation through to onboarding, vacating, cleaning, and facilities management—to optimise the overall student experience. Your key responsibilities will be to: manage and administer the University’s Student Accommodation systems analyse data and providing relevant business analysis to inform rent setting, sales, and marketing approaches support the Manager, Business Systems and Relationships and Operations General Manager in the development of a suite of live visual metrics/dashboards to support the management of the Accommodation Operations business identify and analyse emerging operational risks and threats to the business and recommend mitigation, minimization and/or elimination strategies through systems development establish and maintain effective relationships within UI, the wider University and with external stakeholders, to ensure high levels of client satisfaction support the wider P&D team where capacity allows. About you degree preferably in Business with significant subsequent relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of qualifications/training and experience demonstrated knowledge and skills in Freshdesk, StarRez, PowerBi and SharePoint strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload during busy periods report writing including use of Software Systems to produce dashboards / visual metrics understanding of health & safety, risk, and compliance in a workplace / residential setting experience in operational management preferably in a residential setting project Management experience including successful delivery of a variety of projects experience working with a diverse group of key internal/external stakeholders.
