Please be advised that a covering letter is required as part of the application process.

Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and seeking a new opportunity to grow your career? As a Business Support Assistant at UK Power Networks, you'll be at the heart of our Competition in Connections (CiC) team, supporting a dynamic and collaborative environment in our Maidstone, Bury St Edmund or Borehamwood offices.

Imagine being part of an organisation that values your contributions, offers a competitive salary of £33,247 plus a 3% bonus.

In this role, your daily work will truly make a difference. You'll support a team of Designers and Project Managers, ensuring customers receive the highest standard of service from the moment they enquire about a new or altered electricity connection. You'll manage and maintain project records across UKPN systems, liaising with colleagues to keep information up to date and resolve customer queries. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring regulatory compliance, producing reports and investigating anomalies, resolving payment and acceptance issues, generating Meter Point Administration Numbers (MPANs), producing invoices, and initiating customer refunds. At times, you'll be the main point of contact for customers, expertly handling both administration and process-related enquiries.

As a Business Support Assistant, you'll be the backbone of our projects from the initial enquiry phase through to electrical design and occasionally the planning of delivery works. Your ability to communicate confidently and effectively, coupled with excellent IT literacy and customer management skills, will be essential as you interact with a diverse range of customers - from first-time visitors to experienced consultants, developers, and Independent Connection Providers. You'll be expected to adapt your approach to suit each situation, always collaborating and providing solutions, while upholding the highest standards of safety for yourself and your colleagues. A good working knowledge of SAP is beneficial, and training will be provided if needed. You must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel to our different office locations as required.
