Business Development Manager - South West region Q Underwriting was created from multiple underwriting brands with extensive history in their chosen niches. Q Underwriting provides 30+ niche commercial lines products – all backed by A rated insurers. All our products are underwritten in-house by Q’s experienced team and can be traded via the Qtrade portal or by direct access to empowered underwriters. There now exists an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to cover the South West Region Key Responsibilities: Manage and develop relationships with a panel of insurance brokers to drive profitable growthLead strategic growth discussions and develop tailored business plans with each brokerIdentify, negotiate, and secure growth deals and partnership opportunitiesAnalyse broker performance, market trends, and competitor activity to inform strategyDeliver regular performance reviews and provide actionable insights to brokersAct as the main point of contact for broker queries, support, and escalationsCollaborate with internal teams (underwriting, marketing, operations) to deliver broker solutionsEnsure compliance with regulatory and company standards at all timesProactively seek new business opportunities within the broker networkPrepare and present reports, forecasts, and business cases to senior managementSelf-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervisionComfortable working remotely and managing own schedule to meet objectivesExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skillsStrong organisational and time management abilitiesExperience in insurance and broker management essentialWillingness to travel for broker meetings and industry events as required What we offer:
