Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: UK Field Based About the role: As a Business Development Manager, you’ll drive new business across Central England & East Anglia, selling BSI Knowledge Solutions and Membership subscriptions. This is a home-based role focused on identifying white-space opportunities, building a strong new business pipeline, and converting prospects into long-term customers. You’ll be suited to this role if you come from a specific industry sector and have experience operating as a regional or territory-based sales professional, managing your own patch and targets. Responsibilities: Drive new business revenue across your territory Identify, research, and develop new sales opportunities Build and manage a strong, high-quality new business pipeline Prospect effectively through self-generated outbound activity Present BSI Knowledge Solutions to senior decision-makers Accurately forecast weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales Follow up and execute targeted sales campaigns Maintain accurate CRM records in Salesforce (SFDC) Produce regular sales and forecasting reports Consistently meet and exceed sales activity and revenue targets To Be Successful in the Role, You Will Have: Experience selling within a defined industry sector Background as a regional or territory-based account manager or BDM Proven success in new business / hunter-led sales Experience selling into technical, regulated, or complex environments (e.g. medical devices) Strong prospecting and pipeline management skills A track record of closing self-generated opportunities Confidence presenting and negotiating at management level Excellent organisation, time management, and prioritisation skills A proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven mindset Strong customer relationship and communication skills Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) Solid Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Full UK driving licence and fluent English Degree-level 3 education (or equivalent) preferred BSI offers a competitive total reward package, an independent and varied job in an international environment, flexible working hours, ongoing training and development with the inclusion of 27-days annual leave, paid sick leave, bank holidays, health insurance, life insurance, pension plan with company contribution, car allowance (dependent on role), income protection, paid maternity leave, paid paternity leave, paid parental leave, adoption leave, compassionate leave, paid bereavement leave, learning and development opportunities, and a wide range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your lifestyle.  Do you believe the world deserves excellence?
