  • Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead and drive the growth of our new business initiatives. This pivotal role is essential for identifying new business opportunities, fostering and developing key client relationships, and strategically closing significant deals, particularly in the dynamic retail sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of market dynamics and possess the ability to leverage insights to create robust business strategies that align with our organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough market research to identify and develop new business opportunities within retail loss prevention, aiming to enhance our market position. Build, nurture, and manage strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, consultants, and integrators to foster collaboration and drive mutual success. Lead the entire end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation, proposal development, pricing negotiation, to contract closure, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Collaborate closely with technical and pre-sales teams to deliver tailored security solutions that meet client needs and expectations. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic planning and recommend actionable insights. Prepare comprehensive sales forecasts, detailed pipeline reports, and strategic business development plans to support organizational growth objectives. Represent the company at various industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and network with potential clients. Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs, demonstrating a strong commitment to performance excellence. Develop and lead engaging meetings and presentations in our Retail Experience Centre (REC) to showcase our solutions and value propositions. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is a plus. A minimum of [5+] years of experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably within the electronic security industry. Strong technical knowledge of security systems and integration, with the ability to clearly communicate complex solutions to clients. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively. Self-motivated, strategic thinker, and results-oriented, with a strong drive for success and a passion for customer satisfaction. Preferred Skills: Established network within the retail sector that can be leveraged to generate new business opportunities. Experience working with enterprise-level and multi-site clients, showcasing a strong understanding of their unique challenges and needs. Familiarity with tender/bid management and compliance processes to effectively navigate complex sales cycles. Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage sales activities and maintain client relationships efficiently.
