We are seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to join our clients multidisciplinary contractor design team, delivering projects from concept through to completion. You will be involved across all project stages, working on a diverse portfolio of building and civil engineering schemes valued from £100k to £30m+.Projects span education, retail, commercial, industrial, offices, healthcare, research facilities, and award-winning residential and Passivhaus developments. This is a hands-on role combining technical design leadership, site support, and team mentoring within a collaborative contractor environment.Key ResponsibilitiesReview tender drawings and specifications for compliance with Building Regulations, statutory requirements, and Health, Safety & Environmental legislationEvaluate pre-contract technical submissions, identifying risks, opportunities, omissions, and shortfallsProvide technical support to in-house design and construction teamsCoordinate M&E design, commissioning, and handover activitiesSupervise, inspect, and coordinate subcontractor works during constructionReview subcontractor design information for compliance with relevant standards, employer’s requirements, and buildabilitySupport building performance assessments (e.g. BREEAM) and advise construction teams on responsibilitiesCarry out site inspections, monitoring, testing, and defect resolutionReview and manage record drawings, O&M manuals, and design changesReview energy performance assessments and certificationPrepare clear technical reports and documentationContribute to tender submissions and competitive bidsAttend and represent the business at client meetings, tender interviews, and project progress meetingsMentor and support junior members of the teamSkills & Technic
