Eloquation Agency is on the lookout for a skilled, independent bilingual technical editor to partner with its team on a contractual, as-needed basis. No benefits are included. Role Requirements o Completion of an Editing Certificate, a Bachelor's Degree in translation or a Bachelor's degree in a related linguistic field o At least 2 years of proven experience in copy editing and proofreading, during which copy editing was your primary role and you regularly worked on technical documentation and/or from public bodies/international organisations. o You are methodical, rigorous and detail-oriented. You have an outstanding grammar and syntax. o Mastery of both English and French, with the ability to edit technical content proficiently in both languages. o You are autonomous, easily adaptable and professional. You have effective time-management skills to meet deadlines. You enjoy collaborating with others. o Availability of at least 15h/week. o Ability to issue valid invoices. Other assets o Familiarity with the use of computer-assisted translation tools is an asset. o Familiarity with the language of technical fields, either through your education and/or previous employment in a technical industry (e.g., construction, engineering, healthcare), is an asset.
