Location: Leeds, Bristol or Edinburgh

Salary: £39,825 - £44,250

Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity:

We're looking for a dynamic, motivated, forward-thinking Senior Analyst to join the team. You'll focus on the designing and implementation of advanced self-serve analytics solutions to solve complex business problems for a broad range of audiences. Liaising with internal customers to understand their needs, convert these into technical requirements, and then create, develop and deliver solutions to provide them with actionable insight whilst collaborating with multi-functional teams including data engineers, analysts and data scientists.

What you'll be doing?

  • Business Intelligence & Visualisation - Understands business analytics concepts such as data mining, statistics, visualisation and can apply this to a task. Takes ownership for data gathering and cleansing, and the development of standardised reports.

  • Data Analysis - Inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data to discover useful information, draw conclusions, and support decision-making.

  • Data Literacy - Understands the value of data for decision making and independently performs semi-advanced analysis, manually and with use of data tools to put data in context.

  • Insight Generation - Insight generation is the process of transforming data into meaningful and actionable insights that can drive business decisions.

  • Data Storytelling - Building a compelling narrative based on data and analytics to help tell your story to influence and inform a particular audience. It combines data visualisation with narrative techniques to convey insights and information in a compelling and engaging way, helping audiences grasp the significance and context of the data.

What you'll need:

  • Experience in delivering business intelligence solutions

  • A track record of delivering business intelligence solutions at scale from a complex data ecosystem

  • Good understanding of Stockbroking products

  • Experience with SQL and BI tools such as Power BI/Looker would be desirable

  • Strong customer/partner management skills, including working with legal, compliance, IT, and product teams

  • Superb communication, presentation, and story-telling skills
