One of our companies is currently looking for a BI Developer in Canada.
As a BI Developer, you will play a critical role in designing and maintaining business intelligence dashboards that support both internal teams and external clients. You’ll work with large datasets to build insightful visualizations that drive business decisions and enhance data quality. Collaborating closely with data engineers, product teams, and business users, you'll ensure the accuracy, functionality, and presentation of dashboards using tools like ThoughtSpot, Tableau, and SQL. This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail, a passion for data storytelling, and the flexibility to learn new tools quickly.
Accountabilities:
- Build, maintain, and iterate on client-facing BI dashboards using tools like ThoughtSpot and Tableau.
- Collaborate with data engineers, product teams, and analysts to ensure data accuracy and product quality.
- Conduct data quality checks, testing, and version control on all dashboards and reports.
- Translate product and maintenance requirements into actionable, live BI solutions.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and data visualization tasks to support various business units.
- Ensure visual consistency and branding across all dashboards.
- Support the creation of internal dashboards to streamline analytics and operational insights.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in BI development using tools such as ThoughtSpot, Tableau, or Palantir.
- Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., RedShift, MySQL).
- Experience publishing, maintaining, and iterating on interactive dashboards.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to numerical accuracy and formatting standards.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Bonus: experience with Python (pandas, numpy), ThoughtSpot certification, or automotive datasets.
